Fireworks

Wow what brilliant fireworks, World Famous certainly did a good job, fireworks and music all over the place, fireworks up at the castle and in the harbour and over the breakwater. I sneaked on the boat really easily, getting off the other end was quite simple noone in France has any idea what I am, they didn't even think to ask for my ticket.

hi

i have just been enjoying your website ... better late than never!!

i am on page 3 of the tags - came on the penultimate day

i took a photio of cables and shadows and would like to send it - sorry it is late - but thought it suited the site

what an adventure you had

i think the whole triennial was brill and am just so sorry i could not

return for a second visit.  as it was, i had VERY short legs at the end

of the day!

but i picked a corker of a day at least - wall to wall sunshine which

enhanced all the artwork, the town, the visitors, participants etc.

THANK YOU!

Going towards the harbour...can you see the lights?

Well we tried, it did look better in reality, and you can just see Olivia's hand again, still waving goodbye.  as we drove along we found the truck so she came along behind us, we drove up past the Visitor Centre and gave loud toots on the horn, they came out and waved us both by.  Hoorahs and grins all round.

Vinnie's Mum

What with all the partying of the last weekend I quite forgot my fairy lights to decorate the float with on its last homeward journey. So I phoned up Vinnie's mum, they are featured in the Triennial book  on Pae White's Barking Rocks and she bought all her Christmas lights.  Whilst I was attaching the lights she set to work taking out the add ons, what else are friends for?

Olivia is waving goodbye...goodbye.

On the last day the sun was shining gently, September sun is very different to August sun and the air was different too. We had lots of folk who knew about the float and wanted to take part.  The lower Leas park is such a delight.

Between all the mapping: an Art and Regeneration symposium, to come back to the reasons for doing this project in the first place

We initiated a small symposium, to talk about art and regeneration in Folkestone, and were joind by Strange Cargo, The Creative Foundation, CLub Shepway, the Folkestone Research Network Forum and of course the Folkestone Triennial itself.
The idea was to make some time and space to talk about the very different cultural activities that are going on in Folkestone, which all have their own concept of how to contribute to the place and make it more interesting and better. The door was open to everybody interested.
